Vicente López Mate

Vicente Javier López Mate has an international PhD in Literary Studies from Complutense University of Madrid and theUniversity of Oxford and he is a lecturer of Language and Literature Didactics at the University of Alcalá. He is member of the International Arthurian Society. He specializes in English Medieval Literature and teaching English through literature. Over the last few years, he has been part and coordinated various projects related to Teaching Innovation and the integration of the Sustainable Development Goals in university teaching (Grupo de Trabajo Agenda 2030 “Promoción de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible a través de la Educación Superior: Humanidades y Ciencias Sociales”) and in the international projection of the University of Alcalá in which he has collaborated with professors from the most prestigious universities in the world (Red Internacional de Estudios Culturales, Lingüísticos y Literarios en Lengua Inglesa: de la extensión a la difusión). His lastest publications are «Transmutation in John Boorman’s Excalibur: Accuracy and Intersemiotic Translation in the Movie Adaptation of Le Morte D’arthur», «Actualizando el mito del rey Arturo: Neomedievalismo y resemiotización en King Arthur: Legend of the Sword de Guy Ritchie» and «Agenda 2030: Challenges in the application of the Sustainable Development Goals in university teaching».
